I never ever got acne when I was a teenager. Once I hit my 30s, however, my face started breaking out a lot. I went to the dermatologist and was (mis)diagnosed with rosacea — I’ve seen rosacea and I don’t have it. I just have acne that won’t go away. I had been using the Clinique 3 Step program for years and knew it was time for a change. I did quite a bit of research, then went to Sephora and asked for advice. I bought this on their recommendation.
Well, I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks, and I don’t even have to wear makeup anymore! (I do sometimes, but I don’t have to.) I have not had any breakouts at all, and almost everything has cleared up on my face. I don’t even really have to use the spot cleaner, because there’s not much to clean. In addition, my face feels so much softer and cleaner than it did with all the toner, etc., from Clinique. I bought some Purity cleanser for the days I wear makeup, and so far, so good.
A few days ago, I threw everything else away. It’s that good.
Caveats: it will bleach your eyebrows (mine were dark brown, and now they’re much lighter) and the first step (On a Clear Day wash) definitely smells a little weird. I got used to it after a couple of days, but I wasn’t crazy about it at first. But… did I mention how clear my skin is?
I literally can’t stop talking about it to all my friends. I heart it.
