How You Can Be Acne-Free And Have A Sweet Tooth At The Same Time
Sugar has been the jinx for health; it is the main culprits for many serious health problems. Depending on each individual, the seriousness of acne differs for everyone. Reducing your sugar intake would surely helps, not only for your acne problems, but also your personal health. The reason why there’s myth saying about chocolates causing acne is because of the amount of sugar level in chocolate. It is not chocolate itself that cause acne, but the high sugar level and maybe the small amount of caffeine in chocolate that cause acne.
Sugar is the root of many acne cases!
So how does sugar cause your acne? One of the acne causes is hormonal imbalance. When you take in sugar, your BSL (blood sugar level) will increase. When your BSL increase, your body will naturally react by producing insulin, which would lower your BSL. As insulin is a hormone, an increase in insulin production means an increase in hormone production, hence causing hormonal imbalance.
The trick to be able to have a sweet tooth without having acne is to be smart about when you take in sugar. BSL increase will cause an increase for insulin production. Since insulin is a hormone, a rapid increase within a short period of time would cause a vast hormonal imbalance. Thus, can I say that if I take a big amount of sugar over a period of time, the amount of insulin produced will be reduced greatly?
YES!
Hence for every sweet “toother” out there, it is possible to still take in sugar, but remember, not to take all at one go. Always try to spread your sugar intake over a time period. If you do that, chances are acne will not hit you as frequent as taking in high sugar amount at one go.
